About MatchCV
MatchCV is an independent product built by a small team of developers. It exists to remove the single most tedious step in a job search: rewriting the same resume over and over so it lines up with each posting you apply to.
Why we built it
Applying for a job now means feeding a document to software before a person sees it. Applicant tracking systems parse your resume, look for the terms in the posting, and rank you against everyone else who applied. The practical advice that follows from that — customize your resume for every role — is correct, and almost nobody does it, because doing it by hand takes 30 to 60 minutes per application.
That is a mechanical problem, and mechanical problems are worth automating. MatchCV reads the posting, works out which of its requirements your resume does not currently speak to, and rewrites the relevant bullets and skills so it does — in about ten seconds instead of an hour.
What it actually does
- Scores your resume against one specific job description and shows the keyword gaps.
- Rewrites experience bullets around the results that posting cares about.
- Exports in single-column, ATS-safe layouts that parse cleanly.
- Imports an existing LinkedIn profile or resume file so you do not start from a blank page.
Several of these run without an account at all — the free tools page lists the ones that need no sign-up.
What it does not do
It cannot invent experience you do not have, and it will not try to. Everything it writes is a rephrasing of what you already gave it, aimed at a specific posting. It also cannot promise an interview: an ATS score is a measure of how well one document matches one job description, not a prediction of what a hiring manager will decide. Any tool telling you otherwise is selling you something.
Your data
Your resume is yours. We process it to provide the service and nothing else — the privacy policy spells out what is stored and for how long. We do not sell resume data to recruiters.
